Administrative Duties


$14 – $16/hr


Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our management team and assisting in daily office needs. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, navigate MS Office, and use a copier and telephone system. If you have previous experience as a Secretary or administrative assistant and familiarity within the non-profit industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule appointments for other staff members
  • Plan meetings and, if necessary, take detailed notes
  • Check and distribute mail, letters, faxes and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Order office supplies and keep an inventory checklist
  • Provide general support to walk-ins and direct them to other resources
  • Handle program inquiries and verify application submissions are complete
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Computer Literacy
  • High School degree
  • Additional qualifications or education will be a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
  • Basic QuickBooks knowledge
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
