After so long, waiting for Covid restrictions to pass, for materials to arrive, the beautiful home on Tamarind Drive, Edgewater, was completed, thanks to our amazing and faithful team of construction volunteers and staff. This is the 140th home completed by SEV Habitat for Humanity.
On May 27th, 2021, the joyful Woods family attended their dedication, and received the keys to their home. Board members, staff, volunteers and other future Habitat home owners joined Destiny and her children and friends to celebrate the occasion.
Executive Director, Mark Billings led the order of service, with SEV Habitat board chairwoman Regis Sloan and board member Sven Johnson.
ED Mark Billings begins the dedication
Rosemary Walker presents the bible to Destiny. Ray Allnutt presents the house keys.
Pastor Peter Carter gave the prayers and house blessing, and retired ED, Rosemary Walker presented the bible. Construction Manager, Ray Allnutt presented the keys to a very happy Destiny. We look forward to several more homes completed in 2021, and many more families to be housed in the coming years.
