Muhlenberg College Collegiate Challenge Spring Break 2015
A group of fourteen from Muhlenberg College was the first group in this year’s spring break collegiate challenge. They helped build the new house at 500 Duss St, New Smyrna – roofing, framing, and siding the future home of a local family. This home will be our spec house where people of the community can view our model home and find out more about our program.

Nick, Ellen and Julia Burns coordinated the group, and were joined by undergraduate students of various majors, and two faculty chaperones. Linda Kelly of the Religious Studies department worked at a Habitat in S. Carolina last year, and this year volunteered to be the driver for the group. David Rabold, the Capital Projects Manager for the college, really enjoyed his time at the build and brought a wealth of skills in construction. He has completed 60 million dollars worth of projects for the college!

The students had a great time here, enjoying the warm sunny weather. There was snow on the ground back home!
