A Great Family Project at Pinehurst

On Sat., August 13th, an army of volunteers and staff came together to lay the lawn and landscape the first two homes in the Pinehurst subdivision, Edgewater. Four partner families, eight gallant members of the Knights of Columbus, and many other volunteers offered their help to get two homes finished by laying the sod, planting shrubs and mulching.

Partner families, Knights of Columbus, Habitat staff and volunteers, and community members team up to do the job.

Planting and mulching was a fun job for the children.

The two homes look beautiful and soon will be inhabited by the Kenney and Herrera families.

The future home of Lisa Kenney and family looks great now the lawn is in.

The family of Dixie Herrera will love their beautiful yard. Trees will be also planted on both properties.

If you are looking for a good workout for a worthy cause, and enjoy the outdoors, sign up for the next ‘sod party’ in the next few weeks.
