Cold Weather Help For The Homeless

Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity in partnership with Halifax Urban Ministries and local churches have begun a program to provide shelter for the homeless in our community on nights when temperatures fall below 40 degrees. Churches provide a hot meal, fellowship and a warm and safe night’s sleep for our area homeless. Their bikes and other belongings are kept safe in our Habitat truck overnight. A hot meal is served in the morning and our truck is back on the road accepting your donations that make this and our other programs possible.

For more information on how to be part of this program, contact Joyce Pearce-Riddel, SEV Habitat for Humanities Development Director at 386 314-6543.
